Quality
education
for all

Our Story

Haven Schoolhouse has been a pioneer and respected early childhood education centre since we opened our doors in 1991.

Inspiring Young Minds

We are a social service initiative started by the Singapore Amalgamated Services Co-operative Organisation Limited (SASCO), which was established in 1933. SASCO’s community building efforts include the provision of elderly care services through SASCO Senior Citizens’ Home, and child care services through Haven Schoolhouse. Children are always at the heart of all we do, and our focus has been on bringing quality infant and child care services to our community. With a dedicated and passionate team of teachers, we hope to shape the leading minds of tomorrow. We are constantly launching initiatives to raise the quality of education we provide, to improve our curriculum to keep lessons engaging, and professional development of our staff. We keep our fees affordable, and offer additional subsidies to ensure every child gets access to quality preschool education.

Philosophy

To consider the total child by providing a hospitable environment for the constructive development and fulfilment of potentials.

We believe that children learn best in a caring environment and when they have a positive relationship with both their peers and with adults.

Vision

To be caring and nurturing in the development of young children, serving families in Singapore.

Mission

For every child to have a good start in life by providing quality child development and care services.

Core values

Caring

We care and show concern for the well-being of others and consider the impact of our actions on them. We seek to understand the needs of children, families and the community, and do the best for them.

Awareness

To have a strong belief and sense of commitment to the profession and the organisation’s vision and mission. To be enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of children.

Righteousness

This governs the character of our staff. We always do the right thing even when it may be difficult to do so. In doing so, we seek to serve and treat everyone equally.

Empathy

To make a conscious effort to understand and be sensitive to the needs of children, families, and the community.
